Here are FIVE TIPS FOR YOUR SENIOR PORTRAITS to make your session fun, enjoyable and super unique!
1. BRING SOME MUSIC
Listening to music during your session can help make you feel relaxed and get some good vibes going! Consider making a play list for the day of your session and bringing a bluetooth speaker! It can really make the session fun and enjoyable to listen to some tunes while we shoot!
2. BRING PROPS
Try to Bring Props that will show off the uniqueness of you! Try to focus on your individual interests. Do you play guitar? Bring it to the shoot! I’d love to hear you play! (I am a guitar player too!). Do you play a sport? Bring some gear! Maybe you are into photography, Bring your camera! Even some fresh cut flowers can be a beautiful addition to a shot and add a splash of color too! Any prop will make your photos unique, add variety to your shots, and can also help keep you feel more relaxed during your session!
3. ACCESORIZE!
Multiple outfits are fun and can add some variety to your photos, but accessories can be just a lot of fun especially if you are unable to do an outfit change on location. Think cool hats, funky necklaces, flashy earrings, a cool set of boots, the list goes on!! Thrift stores are usually awesome for this kind of stuff and can be had without breaking your budget!
4. LOCATION PLANNING
We have SOOO many awesome locations in Central Florida. If you love outdoors and nature, let’s hit one of our many state parks, or maybe a natural spring!! Beach goer? Let’s head to New smyrna or Cocoa beach! Or maybe a high class downtown vibe is your style – look no further than Winter Park! Maybe your High school campus is more your cup of tea which can be incorporated with Tip #5
5. BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL!
Just as The Beach boys sang in the 60’s! Bring some of your your school colors and your school spirit. Maybe a school sweatshirt, or some Chuck Taylor’s that match your school colors, Cheerleader?? SUPER EASY! Football or Track??? SUPER EASY! So many options can be had with your school colors. Some traditional cap and gown photos are also a perfect option!
BONUS TIP:
HAVE FUN planning your session! It can be a lot of fun to chat with your friends and brainstorm ideas for your session! There is another idea, invite your BEST FRIEND TO YOUR SESSION!! It is a great chance to get some awesome photos beyond the regular cell phone selfie and they can be there for support!! Don’t forget, graduating High School is a once in a lifetime event! Make your photos EPIC!
