Today we got some great news here at 434 Photography! We received word that six of our photos were selected to be published in Senior Year Magazine. This is not just an honor for us but also for the high school seniors whose images were selected.
To truly appreciate the significance of this achievement, it’s important to understand the magnitude of Senior Year Magazine. This publication receives thousands of submissions from talented photographers all across the country, each submitting photos for a spot in the magazine. The competition is fierce, and only a select few can see their work featured within its pages. The odds are stacked against any single photographer who submits their work – making this accomplishment all the more impressive.
Senior Year Magazine does a great thing for the Photography industry, Each of the photos they select from the many talented photographers throughout the country, tells a story. Each photo offers a unique perspective on the lives of the high school seniors that are featured. Being featured is a recognition that not only celebrates the photographers individual talents but also the collaborative spirit that drives them to create something amazing with their clients.
With all that said, the honor extends way beyond all the amazing photographers who were selected. The true magic of these six photos and ALL the images selected for this publication, is the impact they have on the high school seniors whose images were chosen. Senior year is a time when every moment feels important, when every day there is a new “last time” or “first time”, and every day is one step closer to the next chapter in their lives. These photos capture the true spirit of these awesome teens and a true tribute to the class of 2024.
For me – what makes publications like Senior Year Magazine special is the effect it can have in our local communities. These images that are selected are not just a reflection of the students senior year; they are a source of inspiration for future classes, help build confidence in high school students, and it encourages other photographers to pursue their passions and create amazing images for the neighbors in our communities!
It was not only an honor to be published in this fine magazine, but also an honor to work with each and everyone of these seniors! I am so lucky to be able to do what I love and make so many awesome memories for these amazing families! Thank you all for your support!
Also, a huge Congratulations to all the seniors and photographers that were featured! You are all amazing people! Don’t ever stop being awesome!
